I’ve been making a TON of smoothies and bowls these days and realized I always gravitate toward the same core ingredients — greens, blueberries, strawberries, mango — so I decided to change it up and feature some cherries for this one! Frozen cherries have a rich tart flavor, and they go perfectly with a hint of chocolate — what doesn’t??

The anti-inflammatory compounds found in cherries have also been shown to boost muscle recovery and decrease soreness; they’re the perfect protein smoothie base!

Ingredients

1 cup frozen cherries⁣
1/2 medium banana⁣
1/4 cup frozen cauliflower⁣
22g protein powder⁣
1 tsp chia seeds⁣
1 tsp flaxseed⁣
1 Tbsp cocoa powder⁣
1 1/2 Cup almond milk⁣
Toppings: cherries, banana, coconut flakes, cocoa powder, ground flaxseed⁣

Directions

Combine all your ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Pour into a bowl and top with desired toppings! ⁣
